When clients come to us with this question, we ask for the key details about the type and size of the event. However, there are a lot of other factors that influence the number of event security guards we provide at any given event.
These include but are not limited to:
- Number of entrances/exits
- Bodies of water on site
- Any use of flames or fire
- Ages of attendees
- Whether or not alcohol is provided or sold on site
- Daytime or overnight event
- Remote or urban event

Depending on the nature of the event, though, it is probably a good idea to have about a 1:50 ratio of security guards to attendees.
